Sarah and Tim’s wedding inspired much of the thinking behind Wedding Weekends. They were coming home to the UK from California to marry where Sarah grew up. So they were looking for a home where they could stay, relax, explore, and celebrate getting married.
They chose the church in Kidmore End and Tim and his groomsmen stayed at The New Inn in Kidmore End the night before the wedding and Sarah and her family and bridesmaids stayed at The Copse, a short walk away.
Flowers were by Georgie from Common Farm Flowers who sent buckets of seasonal flowers to arrange for the tables, tie with raffia for the bridesmaids and make up into a stunning bouquet.
The big bridesmaids helped cater the desserts, the food was Italian style roast pork with glorious salads. Music was from Sarahs cousin, bass player in the jazz band Flames of Rhythm, followed by a disco set from friends and plenty of dancing.
This wedding showed us, The Copse team, that left to themselves couples create their dream wedding with very little fuss. What they appreciate most is the flexibility to spend money only where it matters to them. Sarah and Tim told us that so many of their guests said it was the best most special wedding ever.
They felt that bringing their families and friends together from two continents for four days, made a time to treasure that they will none of them ever forget.
