Getting married in the UK you cannot tell what the weather will be, but here in our secluded Chilterns Valley, it always seems sheltered and warm under our canopies from Bonza stretch tents.
These were used at the Burning Man Festival in the Nevada desert and can withstand any amount of sun, wind and rain. We hold about twelve weddings here each year, each one is special and so far everyone has enjoyed a garden bathed in sunshine and nights warm enough to need no jacket.
We do always provide lovely fire pits with long burning logs to aid those late night conversations and we do have an industrial sized heater nicknamed Thomas the Tank engine to reassure anyone who might feel the canopy will be insufficiently warm.
Even when the party is over, not everyone needs to leave as there is room for eighteen guests to stay on site in the stylish bedrooms and time for others to return in the morning, to collect their cars or stay for breakfast or even Sunday lunch at the pub on the hill.
The rewards of opting for an ‘indoor/outdoor’ wedding weekend are plain to see, with wonderful light and natural backdrops for photographs, flowers growing in abundance – making too much decoration redundant.
Best of all is the feeling of being on a holiday, or on a picnic with space to put your feet up or even lie right down should you wish….and no need to go anywhere in a hurry.
The Copse is yours for the weekend in all its glorious detail.
